Co-wash tip(for biracial hair)

Co-washing is part of a routine for certain types of curly hair. I know that there are many different methods of co-washing. However, if you extremely tight and super thick curly hair that is very dry, yet soft at the same time( a mixed type), you might want to try this method.

You will need the following products:

  1. White Conditioner(I typically purchase this at a Dollar Tree)
  2. Coconut Oil(You can probably find this at a health food store or at your local supermarket)
  3. A wide tooth comb
  4. A leave-in conditioner
  5. Hair gel

Step 1: Wet your hair completely and rub coconut oil in it.

Step 2: Rinse the coconut oil out of your hair and add a very liberal amount of conditioner to your hair(Use half of the bottle, literally. Trust me, it will only work that way.)

Step 3: While the conditioner is still in your hair, comb through completely.

Step 4: Once you have finished combing out your, rinse out the conditioner.

Step 5: Apply a leave-in conditioner to wet hair. Do NOT towel dry your hair unless you use a microfiber towel. After you have applied a leave-in conditioner to your hair, add gel. You are now free to style as desired.

Extra tips and pointers:

  1. I recommend As I Am leave-in conditioner and Argan Oil Eco Styler hair gel.
  2. Co-wash your hair once weekly.
